A desperate woman from Russia has secretly filmed her husband brutally ‘educating’ her crying baby by violently shaking her.
The terrified mother who was herself abused by her husband had also been left with almost no contact with friends or family, but shared the video with another mother that she had met in the maternity ward asking for advice, and the woman had shared it online.
The video of a 33-year-old father, known as Alexander, brutally shaking the crying baby girl was recorded in the family’s apartment in the Smolensk region of Russia.
The footage shows how the jobless father brutally shakes the baby saying: “It was boring to lie down, yes?”
The baby squirms in pain in her father’s arms, while the mother in the background cries and asks her husband to calm down. But he continues to abuse the child.
The shocking video was posted on the internet by the friend of the baby’s mother who said: “I know almost nothing about this family. We stayed together in the cesarean section in our perinatal centre on Pokrovka.
“Their daughter was born two kilograms prematurely, and was kept in the hospital for more than two months, she was raised in an incubator.
“After the discharge, I sometimes corresponded with the child’s mother, and she sent me this video late last night. I got scared and decided to post it on the internet. Out of fear, she (the baby’s mother) didn’t tell anyone for a long time that her husband was beating her up and now he is starting to be aggressive with their child as well.”
The baby’s mother, known only as Elena, said: “Alexander (the child’s father) and I have known each other since school. We have lived together for 12 years, we have three children. The son is five years old, the daughter is three years old and the youngest is six months old.
“Previously, everything was fine in the family: My husband was OK, he worked as a security guard in Moscow. Sometimes we argued, like everyone else, but he never touched the children. But recently something happened to him.”
Elena specified that Alexander had recently returned from a psychiatric hospital, where he had been sent by court order for hitting a neighbour’s relative with an axe during a holiday.
Elena says: “He came back from there, not himself, he was aggressive. He beat me, and recently there was this incident filmed on video.”
About the day Alexander assaulted her six-month-old baby, Elena recounts: “I had just braided my middle daughter’s hair, when I heard cries and ran to the room. Alexander started screaming and he was shaking our youngest daughter. He held her so tightly that it left bruises.”
Local investigating authorities explained: “From December last year to June this year, a 33-year-old resident of Novoduginsky District, who abused alcohol, systematically beat his six-month-old daughter, thus causing mental and physical suffering, all because he was irritated by the child’s crying. “
A criminal article was initiated against the 33-year-old man for “Torture”.
Currently, investigators are establishing all the circumstances of the crime, studying the living conditions and upbringing of the injured child, as well as other children living in this family.
He has been remanded in custody for 15 days for failing to fulfil his obligations to raise a minor.
