A nervous woman driver fed up with her worried husband pointing out what she was doing wrong and nagging her all the time taped up his hands and then also taped his face mask over his mouth so she could drive in peace.
According to several local media reports, the woman, identified only by her surname Yu, had obtained a driving licence nine years beforehand but had not got much practice because her nervous husband had always insisted on driving when they were together.
She said: “He was constantly pointing his finger at me and complaining, but there was nothing to complain about. I have nine years of driving experience, both over long and short distances and on high-speed national highways. In total, I have driven more than 80,000 kilometres with zero accidents and zero violations, while he, in comparison, has violated regulations over a dozen times a year, and he thinks he can educate me?”

Worrying she might forget how to drive altogether, she insisted on driving, but said her husband ruined the experience by constantly pointing out things she should be doing differently and was constantly nagging and even suddenly shouting every time he thought she was going to do something that might make them have an accident.
She said things came to a head when he had then started grabbing the steering wheel, and so she pulled over and refused to go any further until he agreed to have his hands tied, and to have tape placed over his face mask to stop him speaking.
She said that after that, she thoroughly enjoyed the ride, and also enjoyed her husband’s silence so much that she even filmed him to share with pals, not expecting that it would quickly go viral.

Many women praised the idea, saying that their husbands also made them nervous by always pointing out what they were supposedly doing wrong.
