The is the moment a female suspected drink-driver being chased by the cops flips her van into an embankment on a tight bend.
The unnamed suspected drink-driver, who also reportedly did not have a driving licence, was chased along the Bakhchysarai-Yalta Motorway in the region of Bakhchysarai Raion in the Crimea, currently subject to a territorial dispute between the Russian Federation and Ukraine.
According to local media, the police noticed a motorist swerving on the road at around 7pm and decided to pursue their vehicle.
During the car chase, the driver lost control of the vehicle and overturned on the opposite side of the road.
According to local media, the motorist was allegedly driving over the limit and refused to answer the cops’ questions.
It was also later reported that the woman allegedly did not have a driving licence.
She was charged with drink-driving without a licence, an offence which can be punished with a fine of 30,000 RUB (376 GBP) and imprisonment, according to reports.
In the video footage, the driver is seen evading the cops in a red van before losing control of the vehicle on a tight bend.
The van crosses onto the other side of the road and crashes into the embankment, rolling over before coming to a stop on its four wheels.
A police officer tries to open the driver’s door, but it appears to be jammed due to the crash and he has to break in through a rear window. The driver is reportedly in a coma although the extent of her injuries is currently unclear.
