This is the moment two biker thieves grab the handbag of a female motorcyclist and drag her along the tarmac as she desperately clings onto the straps.
Luckily for the poor woman, she kept her bag, only suffering minor injuries, and the two offenders have since been arrested.
The incident, which took place in the north-western Argentine province of La Rioja, was filmed by CCTV cameras and uploaded to social media.
In the footage, the female motorcyclist, identified as schoolteacher Patricia Maldonado, is seen being pulled from her bike by the two motorcycle thieves at the top of the screen.
As her bike crashes to the ground behind her, Maldonado holds onto her bag’s straps and is dragged behind the thieves’ motorcycle as they try to get away.
She scrapes along the ground for about 15 metres (49 feet) before the bag-snatchers let go of their prize and ride off.
Maldonado clutches her bag to her chest as she gets up, and then runs back to her fallen motorbike.
The victim, who only suffered minor burns after being dragged along the tarmac, explained: “My bag has leather straps that would not snap and I ended up hanging onto them”.
Meanwhile, the male suspect has been identified as 22-year-old Luciano Albornoz while his female accomplice has not yet been named. They have both been arrested and charged, according to reports.
