This is the shocking moment a babysitter is brutally beaten by her employer hours before she jumped out of the window of the third-floor apartment to get to safety.
The mum of three is being investigated for violence not only against the young woman in the footage, but also against 11 other former employees.
Security camera footage shows Raiana Ribeiro, 25, sustaining a brutal beating at the hands of her employer at the time, Melina Esteves Franca.
The incident took place in the woman’s apartment in the Brazilian city of Salvador on the morning of Wednesday, 25th August.
After the beating took place, Raiana jumped out of the window of the third-floor apartment to get to safety.
The suspect is currently being investigated by the police over the incident and other allegations of domestic violence against 11 other former employees.
The shocking clip shows how she slaps Raiana, punches her, and even pulls her hair while shouting at her.
Raiana later told the police that the woman had been holding her against her will.
Before jumping out of the window to get to safety, she sent her family an audio message asking for help.
Raiana sustained a broken foot in the fall and had to be taken to hospital. She was discharged the same day.
She had only been working at the woman’s house for a week and was tasked with taking care of her triplet daughters, aged 1 year and 9 months.
The suspect was questioned by the police and subsequently released as the investigation continues.
Local media said she was booed by her neighbours when she returned to her apartment.
