Woman Attacks Cops During Arrest For Breaking Lockdown

This is the moment a woman breaking coronavirus lockdown repeatedly kicks out at police officers before she is taken to the ground and arrested.

The startling scenes were recorded in the La Victoria district in of the Peruvian capital Lima as the unnamed woman was breaking the country’s coronavirus lockdown.

In the video, the woman, who has not been named in reports, can be seen kicking a representative of the Municipality of La Victoria recording her as soldiers from the Peruvian Armed Forces look on.

The official in a face mask runs away and a soldier then grabs the woman and appears to put her in a headlock.

Police officers then move in to make an arrest but the woman begins kicking out at them.

The officer put the woman on the ground to handcuff her but she continues kicking out and resisting arrest.

Local media report the woman had been breaking the country’s lockdown by walking down one of the main streets in the area and in the clip she appears to be crying as she is taken into a police car.

Reports state she was taken to the local Apolo police station but it is unclear if she has been charged.

Peru is allowing women to leave their houses on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays for necessities during the coronavirus lockdown. Men are allowed out on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with all citizens required to stay at home on Sundays, according to reports.

Local media report the clip was recorded yesterday (Sunday).

Peru has suffered 2,281 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 83 deaths according to the latest statistics from the Johns Hopkins University.
