This young woman has claimed to be the biological daughter of football legend Diego Maradona and has filed for a paternity test despite saying she does not want any of the inheritance.

Eugenia Laprovittola, 25, was adopted shortly after being born and was raised by her adoptive parents her whole life.

When she was older, she spoke with her biological mother who revealed to her “several months ago” that Maradona was her father, according to journalist Luis Ventura on the Argentine show ‘Informamos de Todo’ (We Report on Everything) broadcast by America TV yesterday (29 December).

Given that Laprovittola received the shocking news not long before Maradona’s sudden passing, she did not feel that she could publically come out until now.

However, Ventura said the young woman told Maradona about her mum’s claims in a private discussion while he was the manager at Club de Gimnasia Y Esgrima La Plata.

The Argentine journalist added that Laprovittola has no desire to seek Maradona’s inheritance and only “wants to know her identity and why her father died” apparently referring to Maradona’s death being investigated as manslaughter.

Laprovittola has reportedly filed for a paternity test in hopes of confirming her suspicions, according to Ventura.

There are another two ongoing paternity cases for Magali Gil, 25, and Santiago Lara, 19. Who both claim to be Maradona’s children and are fighting for DNA confirmation.

Laprovittola is native from the city of La Plata in the province of Buenos Aires and plays football with the number 10 shirt as Maradona was known for.
