Will Smith Learns Funny Japanese Phrases With Local Idol

This is the moment Hollywood actor Will Smith learns some funny Japanese phrases with local idol Tomohisa Yamashita after flying into Tokyo for the premiere of ‘Aladdin’.

Smith attended the Tokyo premiere of the live-action remake of ‘Aladdin’, directed by Guy Richie and starring Mena Massoud in the title role, and met up with his friend and Japanese singer and actor Tomohisa Yamashita, better known as Yamapi.

Smith, 50, was snapped posing with Yamapi in Colombia last year while shooting the forthcoming film ‘Gemini Man’. In the photo, the celebrities are seen with Smith’s actor son Jaden and the American singer Nicky Jam.

In the Hollywood star’s latest Instagram clip, uploaded for his 31.7 million followers and viewed 2.5 million times, Smith is seen announcing his arrival in Japan before joining Yamapi to learn some local phrases.

According to reports, the Japanese idol taught the ‘Men in Black’ actor to say “yabai” (“yo, that’s hot”), “ore ga kiru to kakkoii” (“I make this look good”) and “chikyuu ni yokoso” (“welcome to Earth”).

Smith is also seen learning “domo, tensai desu” (hi, I am a genius”) before ending the clip with “Tomo, Insta yokoso” (“welcome to Insta(gram), Tomo”.

Reports said that the Japanese star only joined the social network on 16th May and has already amassed 2.4 million followers.
