This wife who reported her husband 15 times for domestic violence has been strangled to death at her home and cops have launched a manhunt for her spouse.

Twenty-seven-year-old Connie Janeth Beltran Dominguez’s body was found strangled with bruising all over her body in her home in the Real de Palmas colony in the municipality of Zuaza, in the north-eastern Mexican state of Nuevo Leon.

Local media report her husband Jose Angel Avalos, 27, is the main suspect in her death and he is said to have picked up their daughter Aulin Alexandra, 4, from nursery after the alleged murder.

The victims family say she had reported her husband to the authorities on multiple occasions, with local media reporting she had filed 15 separate reports against him for domestic violence.

Vice-prosecutor Luis Orozco admitted that the victim had twice told the authorities that her husband had threatened to kill her but she was not attended to.

The victim’s sister Tania said she had left her husband several times only for him to convince her to return. She said: “It’s sad, because we tried to help her, and she never gave herself a chance because he threatened her. Every time they separated, he came and threatened her.”

Avalos reportedly went on the run with his daughter and prosecutors activated an alert to find them. The girl was found some days later with no health problems but her father is still a fugitive.

Prosecutor Orozco said that the girl had been taken to Nuevo Leon where she will be told if she will stay with either the family of her father or her mother.

Orozco said they were investigating if there was an omission of care from the authorities after the victim had reported her husband several times.
