This is the moment a 35-year-old wife pummels her 64-year-old stroke victim husband – who has also been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s – with his walking aid while yelling “why won’t you just die” as he screams and dabs at his bloodied face.

She was also quoted as saying that she would “only divorce him if he leaves me 1 billion IDR (54,680 GBP).”

The incident was filmed in an unspecified location in Indonesia and the footage was shared on Twitter by netizen ‘Daniel H.T.’ where it has gone viral with over 1.2 million views.

In his Tweet, Daniel appealed to the local authorities to intervene.

According to local media, the 64-year-old stroke victim and Alzheimer’s sufferer, identified as Howard, is cared for by his 35-year-old wife Julianna.

Reports said that Howard frequently soils himself and had defecated in his pants when the video was filmed.

In the footage, the couple is seen arguing before Julianna reaches for her husband’s walking aid and uses it to repeatedly hit him over the head.

She shouts: “Die! Why won’t you just die?”

Meanwhile, Howard screams in pain as he dabs at his bloodied face.

According to local media, Julianna is open to divorcing her much older husband, but only on one condition.

She was quoted as saying: “I will only divorce him if he leaves me 1 billion IDR (54,680 GBP).”

After the incident went viral on social media, the police investigated the domestic altercation and Howard is now being cared for by his family, according to reports.

It is currently unclear whether Julianna will face charges.
