This is the incredible moment an eight-year-old boy is run over by a car on a zebra crossing but gets up and walks to the other side.

Astonishing street CCTV footage of the miracle shows the lad approaching the crossing on a low rider balance bike.

And as he rolls over the road, he is so low that the driver of an SUV apparently does not see him on the crossing in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, southern China.

But after the youngster disappeared completely under the car, he pops out seemingly unhurt when the car moves on.

The boy jumps up, grabs his bike and a bag of shopping and walks calmly to the other side of the road where he kneels down to check his bike.

It was later revealed that he suffered just scratches and bruises and no serious injuries.

Local Mr Lin – who works as a caretaker at the site – said that the owner of the car had been tracked down and notified and that they called the emergency services which confirm that the boy had not been seriously hurt.

He added that since the incident extra speed bumps have been putting in more signs to remind drivers to take special care.
