WHAT’S UP CROC? Large Endangered Crocodile Walks Through Door Into Room Of Sleeping Men

This is the moment a large, endangered 260-pound crocodile takes advantage of the fact that farm workers had left a door open to their room and tried to get inside – but is scared away by a man wielding a golf club.

The peculiar incident took place on a farm that keeps crocodiles in Guangzhou, a city in the south-eastern Chinese province of Guangdong.

Staff from the farm told local media that the crocodile had climbed into the room along the steps because they had forgotten to close the door.

A video filmed by one of the employees at the dormitory shows another trying to ward off the ferocious animal with a long stick while using a small plastic stool as a shield after it appeared to have walked in on them mid-dinner.

The large 260-pound croc goes back and forth a few times as it shows off its sharp, deadly teeth to the scared workers but ultimately backs off.

The staff said that the animal stopped disturbing them after being smacked with the stick a few times and went back to its pond.

No one was reported to be injured.

The crocodile pond on the farm has several gates and a 1.2-metres high fence with a very high step, according to the employees.

The crocodile seen in the video is a Siamese crocodile (Crocodylus siamensis), a species native to Indonesia, Brunei, East Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.

It stands as ‘Critically Endangered’ on the IUCN Red List, with only about 1,000 mature adults left in the wild.
