Weird Russia Artist Mixes Cats With Food For Online Fame

A bizarre digital artist from Russia has become an online sensation after Photoshopping cats into tasty food dishes and sharing the images on Instagram where she has amassed nearly 200,000 followers in 18 months.

According to reports, 23-year-old Ksenia Zmanovskaya from the north-western Russian city of Saint Petersburg has been “photoshopping cats into food since January 2018”, as she boasts on her Instagram profile.

In just 18 months, the digital artist has amassed an Instagram following of 175,000 after beginning her unusual hobby.

Her first ‘cat in food’ design was published on the social network in January 2018 and featured her own beloved kitten named Smokey.

She said: “In Photoshop, I combine the two best things in the world – cats and food.

“I never imagined that my content would become viral and so liked.”

In one photo, a blueberry on top of a pile of pancakes has been made to resemble a black cat while another image shows a cute kitten hiding inside a chocolate sponge.

Similar designs depict cats on a soup spoon and in a plate of chips while one Instagram posts shows a cat’s head as melting ice cream next to a fallen cone.
