This is the moment wedding guests smash up the kitchen of a plush hotel and brawl with staff after accusing them of serving stale food during the reception.

The footage was filmed at the Piccadily New Delhi in Janakpuri District located in the National Capital Territory of Delhi in northern India and shared on Facebook where it has been viewed 77,000 times.

Reports said that the wedding was booked for an unnamed Delhi-based businessman.

According to local media, the fight erupted when guests complained about the alleged stale food served during the wedding reception.

An argument broke out and guests brawled with hotel staff and smashed cutlery in the kitchen, as shown in the video.

Staff members who tried to calm the situation were reportedly beaten up and the police were called to the scene at around 9pm after around half an hour of mayhem.

Hotel workers told the police that a group of drunk guests marched into the kitchen and started suddenly smashing plates on the floor.

According to local media, cops have arrested two wedding guests and one hotel worker.

Police spokeswoman Monika Bhardwaj confirmed that they have a copy of the video and that an official complaint was reported the following day.

She added: “We have registered a case of damage to property and assault. The video is being analysed to identify the culprits.”
