Another clip shows water gushing into a car park from the floor above.

The flooding was reportedly caused by a period of heavy rainfall.

Property development company Emaar said that they are currently trying to contain the flooding in certain areas of the huge shopping centre.

They assured customers that the Dubai Mall remains operational and is still open for business.

An Emaar spokesperson said on social media: “Dubai Mall was affected by the heavy rainfall, causing leakages in limited areas.

“We are working to contain all leakages and the mall remains operational and open to the public.
