WATER PEOPLE TO DO: Homes In Florida Heavily Flooded After Tropical Storm

This footage shows a river in Florida gushing into people’s yards after a tropical storm hit the area and caused major flooding.

The incident was recorded by Lisa Nolan, 53, in Jacksonville, a city in the US state of Florida soon after Tropical Storm Nicole washed over the area.

Lisa told Newsflash in an exclusive interview that she has lived in the city for many years and has often experienced flooding.

But this storm has now pushed her over the edge towards moving out to a drier area.

“I’m sick of this,” Lisa said.

Tropical Storm Nicole made landfall in Florida on 7th November and ravaged the area up until the 12th of November.

The storm still brought heavy rains and sustained winds of up to 70 mph, destroying over 40 homes in the state and severely damaging many others.

Lisa, a seasoned real estate professional, said she decided to move somewhere inland after growing tired of the constant flooding in Florida.

She said she once even got washed into a lake while trying to get home in her brand-new Mercedes.

“I walked to work for eight months to pay off the car!” Lisa complained.

She deems the entire state is in trouble due to the frequent storms and hurricanes, and despite the current situation being fine, she does not want to see what comes next.

“Can you imagine what will happen in the next hurricane?” Lisa said.

“People sandbag and prepare the best we can.

“The pumps are overworked and people are ditching their cars for trains.

“Floridians vs storms – just a matter of time for the entire state,” Lisa added.
