This is the moment a tricycle rider narrowly avoids getting crushed by a water tank and its metal frame after it fell off the seventh floor of a building during strong winds.

The powerful impact reportedly even caused flying debris to smash through the hood of a parked car.

The incident took place in the city of Zhengzhou, in China’s Henan Province, on 1st February.

CCTV footage shows the trike rider avoiding the crash after passing by just mere seconds before it happened.

The street also ended up littered with wreckage after the water tank that was part of a solar panel water heating system came falling down an 80-foot drop.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

It is currently not clear was caused the tank to fall but the video shows a strong gust of wind seconds before it fell.

An insider, named only Mr Cui in local media, said that the boiler, plus the steel frame and the water inside weighed over a hundred pounds.

Afterwards, when the personnel went up to check, they found that there were several solar water heaters on the seventh floor, which were suspected of being abandoned after being not properly installed, posing a great safety hazard.

Netizens praised the trike rider’s luck after the video was posted on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok.

User ‘Li Xiaomei’ said: “He used up all the luck that was supposed to last him a lifetime.”
