This is the viral moment a bottle of a popular Japanese whisky makes a comical cartoon sound when it is knocked over.

The incident was filmed in an unspecified location in Japan and the footage was posted on Twitter by netizen ‘Ryo’ where it has been viewed an astonishing 6.5 million times.

The clip was accompanied with the message: “If you tip over this whisky bottle after drinking a little bit, it sounds so cute!”

According to local media, the whisky featured in the video is Nikka Black Clear.

Last week, Japanese whisky connoisseurs were saddened to hear that three of Nikka’s best whiskies are about to disappear from the marketplace.

According to reports, Nikka’s Taketsuru Pure Malt 17, 21 and 25-year varieties will be discontinued while their cheaper product Black Clear remains available to buy.

As well as being popular, the brand also makes a funny noise when it is knocked over based on the viral footage posted on Twitter where several women are heard laughing as the bottle makes an amusing ‘squeak’ sound.

However, whisky drinkers have to sip a certain amount of the product before the bottle makes the right pitch.
