In the viral footage, tough dad Eddie Kennedy is seen turning soft as the dog settles into its new home, and within days, the pair is seen sneaking snuggles at every opportunity.

Jonna explained that she and her sister got the four-month-old rescue dog, named Tito, for their dad for Christmas.

However, Eddie was far from impressed when he learned of the new family member, and he is seen telling Jonna “that (dog) better not be for here”.

He adds: “I tell yer right now, it’s going.”

As also seen in the clip, the angry dad quickly changes his tune, and Tito and Eddie are now reportedly inseparable.

After watching the video back, Eddie said: “I couldn’t believe I didn’t start swearing.

“I was mad. I went back to work, and then when I came back, he comes running down. I sat right where I’m sitting now, and he came down the stairs, jumped up on the couch and put his head on my lap.”

He added: “What am I gonna do?”

After the video went viral, Jonna said: “It’s been crazy. It just keeps going up. I see a bunch of people at school and they’re like ‘ah I saw your TikTok of your dad and your dog’, and I’ve just been like getting a lot of DMs on Instagram asking to repost it. And it’s been kinda cool.”
