This is the viral moment a 90-year-old Alzheimer’s sufferer plays the piano perfectly despite not being able to recognise her family or home because of her condition.

The touching scene was recorded and shared by her grandson, named Santiago, in Spain and was shared with the message: “My grandmother is called Olga, but we all call her Lucy. She is 90 years old and she was a piano player and teacher”.

In the clip, which has been viewed over 2.09 million times and received over 190,000 likes, the grandmother can be seen playing the piano in her home with great dexterity.

Her grandson wrote: “Today she mixes up people and does not recognise her own house. But she sits at the piano and this happens. The human brain is amazing”.

‘mumimumi09’ added: “Wonderful! The human brain has its secrets”.

‘EnzoRiver’ said: “I was touched, I had tears in my eyes, touched by that beautiful sound of the piano, directed by the soul of a beautiful musician”.

After the video went viral on Twitter, the grandson said that he found out that there are some songs by his grandmother on Spotify, with her performing works by Ravel, Ranck, and Debussy.
