This is the viral moment a Mexican man films thousands of birds outside his home and asks “can someone explain to me why there is a pigeon convention outside my house?”

TikTok user ‘Soyzarin’ filmed the incident outside his home in the Mexican state of Aguascalientes, and later shared the footage online where it has been viewed nearly 500,000 times and garnered 60,000 comments.

The footage shows thousands of birds on the road outside the man’s home as he asks viewers: “Can someone explain to me why there is a pigeon convention outside my house?”

While laughing, he says: “Can somebody explain what is happening?”

‘Soyzarin’ shared the clip on TikTok with the message: “Let’s remember the pigeonfest.”

He also referred to the incident as a “glitch in the matrix”.

Netizens were confused by the unusual scene, with online commentators speculating that it might have had something to do with migration or even climate change.

Other TikTok users said the birds may have ‘felt something’ that caused them to huddle together as a protective measure.
