This viral video seen over nine million times in just two days shows a woman sitting on her boyfriend’s shoulders as he rides on the back of a motorcycle.

The circus stunt-like scenes were seen on the streets of Luzhou City, which is in China’s south-western province of Sichuan, on 4th October.

Local authorities received reports of the motorcycle trio after they were seen riding past busy traffic, with neither the driver nor either of his two passengers wearing crash helmets.

In the video filmed by a passing car passenger, the woman can be seen sitting tall on her boyfriend’s shoulders as he himself sits behind the motorcycle owner.

When the woman notices the camera pointed at her, she screams and puts her head down in embarrassment.

Luzhou police said they summoned the motorcycle owner and charged him for dangerous driving, and for riding without a motorcycle helmet.

He was fined 300 RMB (34 GBP) and given two demerit points.

The biker explained to the police: “My friend asked me to fetch him, but his girlfriend was there as well, so he picked her up and put her on his shoulders.”
