This is the viral moment a cute dog in denim shorts shows off his healthy brown coat after the abused stray was reportedly found abandoned in a rubbish tip without any hair.
The video clip was posted on Facebook by dog owner Nayeli Mel where it has gone viral with 3 million views.
Nayeli and her brother Alfredo Melgarejo care for the dog in the city of Piedras Negras in the northern Mexican state of Coahuila after finding it abandoned in a rubbish tip.
According to Nayeli, she was walking around the area with her brother when they came across the scared pooch.
They fed the animal as they realised that it did not have any hair and appeared to be injured so they took it to a nearby veterinary clinic.
After several months of recovery, Nayeli shared a video of the dog appearing healthy with a thick coat of brown fur.
In the footage, the pooch is seen wearing denim shorts as it plays with another dog in Nayeli’s home.
According to the dog owner, the pooch’s behaviour has also changed dramatically and it is no longer nervous around people.
Netizen ‘Maria Alfonso’ commented: “That is such a nice thing you did. God bless you.”
‘Annie Rivera’ said: “It is a blessing to know that there are people out there with this much love and respect for animals that cannot defend themselves from stupid humans.”
