VIP Nightclub Owner Pushes Girlfriend Off Balcony To Her Death

A wealthy German businessman and former band member has been arrested for killing his girlfriend by pushing her off the balcony at their shared home in the city of Basel in Switzerland.

Nightclub and luxury hotel owner Daniel Hoeferlin, who was part of the German band Just Friends, from the German capital Berlin, was arrested after the police discovered the body of his 39-year-old girlfriend Anja Koerner.

The victim worked as an erotic tantra massage expert and sexuality coach.

The 49-year-old suspect ran two popular nightclubs, 90 Grad and Felix, along with luxury hotel Adlon where he hosted celebrity parties and attracted visitors like Dustin Hoffmann, George Clooney, Heidi Klum und Denzel Washington, according to his homepage (https://bit.ly/3dcSq2c).

Both he and his girlfriend were not only active in the party scene, they also shared pictures of their VIP lifestyle online.

They presented themselves as a happy couple in public and could usually be spotted together. They were residing in Basel where the suspect moved to in order to be closer to his partner.

However, residents in the suspect’s apartment block reported a corpse in the backyard that was identified as Anja Koerner, who Hoeferlin is suspected of pushing from the apartment balcony.

An old friend of Daniel’s said: “The times when I saw them together they seemed respectful, harmonious and loving towards one another. They also hugged all the time.”

Friends of the couple are shocked and have expressed their condolences through social media.

It is still unclear how the victim died. The public prosecutor’s office still has not provided any details about the cause of death.
