“Kill me, shoot me, do whatever you want, just please do not touch my children.”

According to local media, the unnamed woman recently returned from a working trip to Italy and she failed to self-isolate for a minimum of 14 days afterwards to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

She then came into contact with many local residents, including her children and grandchildren, some of whom were later diagnosed with the deadly bug.

According to reports, the woman spread the virus to 14 people including the commune head.

As a result, her relatives have been by ostracised by locals who believe they are infected, and the worried mother wants to shoulder the responsibility alone to protect them.

As of 1st April, the Ukraine has reported 645 cases of COVID-19 and 17 related deaths, according to the latest data from the Johns Hopkins University.
