Video Shows RV Lead Police On A Wild Chase Through Summit County Neighborhood

GREEN OHIO – The Summit County Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint of a suspicious individual on Greensburg Road in the City of Green in Ohio in the United States on 2nd of June. A male suspect was said to be attempting to break into automobiles. When the Sheriff’s Deputy arrived, she saw an RV driving away from the site at a fast rate of speed, its doors open and a power wire trailing after it. The Deputy attempted to pull the RV over for a traffic stop, but the driver refused. Other cars, including law enforcement cars, were purposely struck by the suspect. In an attempt to halt the car, tire deflation devices were used twice.

On Briarwood Way in the City of Green, the suspect drove into the back yards of residents. When the RV was stopped, the driver left the scene on foot. The suspect was chased on foot by Ohio State Patrol and Summit County Deputies. An OSP K9 Unit nabbed the suspect. Randy H. Schiffbauer, 24, of Green was apprehended and identified as the suspect. He was arrested and lodged at the Summit County Jail. During the event, nobody was hurt.
