The mum of adorable ‘Batman birthmark’ tot Luna Tavares Fenner has said she is excited to have company after it emerged that a second tot with the condition will travel east to have the same op done.

Russian laser surgeon Pavel Popov from the Klinika Fdt, in the city of Krasnodar in south-western Russia, has confirmed an appointment with a second tot from the USA – a girl called Demi, who also bears the distinctive marking on her face.

His first client, Luna Tavares Fenner, was born in south Florida in the United States with a skin disorder called a congenital melanocytic nevus. The condition has left her with a distinctive birthmark across her face that was described in the media as looking like a batman sign.

Clinic surgeon Dr Pavel Popov said: “Demi will get here on 5 March. Everything is ready to welcome yet another US family.”

The first operation aimed at removing the black spot from Demi’s left cheek is scheduled for March 6.

Luna’s mother Carol Fenner said in an exclusive interview with Central European News: “I’m excited to have another person that could help us, especially with having company here.”

Unlike Luna’s mother Carol, who holds a Brazilian passport, Demi’s family only hold American nationality which meant they were required to obtain visas to visit Russia.

Clinic manager Andrey Aleksutkin added: “They reached out to our clinic in October or November. They needed time to obtain a visa in order to get here.”
