UP TO SCRATCH: Dad Makes Three-Year-Old Son Pay Up For Scuffing Cars

A father in China taught his three-year-old son he has to pay for his mistakes after he scratched his neighbour’s luxury cars with his new toy gun.

CCTV footage of the scrape shows the youngster sliding his plastic gun along the bodywork of a Mercedes and a BMW in the city of Shenzhen, Guangdong Province on 20th November.

So in an early lesson in life, his dad Mr Yang told his son he had to apologise and handed him CNY 2,000 (GBP 230) in cash as compensation, report local media.

Mr Yang filmed the moment the boy runs over to the neighbour with cash in hand to compensate for his mistake.

Mr Yang said he hopes that the child can learn how to face up to his mistakes and become a responsible person in the future.

After handing over the cash to the car owner with his son, Mr Yang and his son went for a walk around the area.

On the way, Mr Yang said to his son: “Dad will always be your most solid backing. If you make a mistake or suffer a grievance outside, you must tell dad truthfully as soon as possible.

“Dad will face it with you and solve the problem together. If it is our fault, then we must be brave to take responsibility and take responsibility.”
