Unscathed Woman Stands Up Straight After Jumping In Front Of Train In Bid To Kill Herself

This is the moment a woman jumps in front of an oncoming tube train in an apparent attempt to kill herself, but the carriages pass straight over her and she walks off the track without a scratch.

The incident took place at Sisli metro station in the Turkish city of Istanbul while the woman, name not reported, was standing on the platform with dozens of passengers.

According to the news site Haberler, the young woman intended to end her life at the tube station and jumped on the tracks just as a train was coming.

The carriages passed over the woman and the driver promptly stopped the train, allowing the woman to get to her feet unscathed.

In the footage, the woman is seen standing in the foreground in black clothes as the tube approaches.

She jumps on the tracks and several onlookers recoil in shock as they expect the train to crush the woman.

However, the video cuts to the moment the woman appears from behind the stationary train and a security guard escorts her across the tracks to safety.

According to Haberler, the security guard accompanied the woman back to the platform before arranging for her to be taken to hospital as a precaution.

The woman, who reportedly has a mental health illness, was handed over to her family after health checks.
