UNSAFE HOLE: Man Plunges To His Death After Builders Remove Glass Floor Tile For Repairs

A worker tragically fell to his death after bungling colleagues removed a see-through glass floor tile at a shopping mall that was under reconstruction and failed to cover it when taking a break.

The devastating event reportedly occurred on the fourth floor at the central hall square of Global Harbor Mall, in the city of Shanghai, in eastern China on 2nd December.

CCTV footage shows a group of workers seemingly taking a break and sitting at the end of a trestle bridge on the fourth floor of the mall that is under repairs.

The workers were reportedly replacing the thick glass tiles on the floor, but paused before completing the work and left a giant square hole in the middle.

Another worker, who was not named in local media, sadly failed to notice the gaping hole in the bridge over a sheer 50-foot drop reportedly because he was distracted while talking on the phone.

And seemingly believing that the floor had been tiled all the way through, he casually walks straight into the hollow end.

His colleagues watch on in horror as the man slips through the hole and hits his head before falling to the ground.
