A one-of-a-kind Koenigsegg supercar worth over 1 million GBP has been seriously damaged in a crash and its driver then reportedly fled the scene.

The blue Koenigsegg CCXR Special One was built specially for Ana Al-Thani, a member of the Qatari royal family, and is now reportedly owned by Mexican businessman Carlos Peralta.

The supercar, reportedly valued at around 30 million MXN (1.18 million GBP), was found partially destroyed on the Paseo de la Reforma in the Mexican capital Mexico City four months after being bought by Peralta.

In the photos, the right-hand side of the car can be seen seriously damaged, with the side panel, door and windscreen all seemingly damaged.

It is not known who was driving the car at the time of the accident and reports state nobody was found at the scene.

Local media state Peralta often lets one of his son’s drive the car and a social media user named ‘don_koenigsegg’ has previously shared videos of him driving the car through Mexico City. It is unclear if ‘don_koenigsegg’ is Carlos Peralta or not.

The unique supercar can reportedly reach speeds of 400 kph (248 mph) and can go from 0 to 100 kph (62 mph) in just 3.1 seconds.

An investigation has been launched into the incident but the driver has not been named by the authorities. It is unclear what caused the crash and no injuries have been reported.

Local media report Peralta will need to order spare parts from Sweden for the sports car to be repaired.
