This is the moment police officers arrest a thief wearing a football star’s clothes after breaking into his luxury home.
The suspect is accused of stealing jewellery and clothing from a former Atlanta Falcons player when he burgled his house in the city of Atlanta, in the US state of Georgia.
Police bodycam footage of his arrest shows suspect Martin Williams, 31, being stopped by a patrol car as he fled.
Astonishingly, Williams was wearing some of the clothes he is accused of stealing from the NFL star’s home.
Newsflash obtained the footage from the Atlanta Police Department (APD), along with a statement that said: “Atlanta police were dispatched to W. Roxboro Rd in reference to a residential burglary.
“Upon arrival, the officer met with the reporting party who advised the property belonged to a former Atlanta Falcons football player.”
After investigating the home, police discovered that some clothing and pieces of jewellery were missing.
The APD said: “Through means of technology, officers were able to observe the male suspect and broadcast over radio his physical description.”
The bodycam footage goes on to show Williams being stopped and handcuffed before the recording runs out.
The APD said: “Further investigation revealed the suspect was in possession of stolen property from the residence and was wearing some of the stolen clothing.
“Williams was charged with two counts of 1st Degree Burglary.”
