Ukrainian Troops Take Out Russian Tanks With American Javelin Anti-Tank Missiles

These images show how Ukrainian troops took out Russian tanks with American Javelin anti-tank missile systems.

The footage begins by showing one Russian tank on fire and a second not moving before the area is engulfed in a large explosion.

The images then show other tanks coming to a stop with smoke coming out of them after they, too, were apparently disabled by Ukrainian firepower.

The images were obtained from the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Thursday, 26th January, along with a statement saying: “The 72nd OMBr [72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade] named after the Black Zaporozhians are burning tanks with Javelins.”

Russia invaded Ukraine on 24th February 2022 in what the Kremlin is still calling a “special military operation”. Today marks the 338th day of the war.

Russia has claimed that its casualties have been much lower but provides infrequent updates on its latest figures.

Russia has fired a new wave of missiles at Ukraine, killing at least 11 people, after Kyiv was promised tanks from its Western allies.
