Ukrainian Infantry Fighting Vehicle Takes Out Russian Gear And Troops In Bakhmut Suburbs

These images show a Ukrainian infantry fighting vehicle supporting the infantry and taking out Russian gear and troops in the suburbs of Bakhmut.

The footage begins by showing the Ukrainian BMP-2 advancing down a road in the suburbs of Bakhmut before it can apparently be seen opening fire on Russian targets in the embattled town.

The images then reportedly show it targeting Russian positions near a forested area before it is seen engaging in relatively close combat in an urban area again as the footage ends.

The images were obtained from the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade ‘Kholodnyi Yar’ of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Sunday, 19th February, along with a statement saying: “Spectacular video of BMP-2 operation of various units of the 93rd Kholodny Yar brigade.

“Currently, in the Bakhmut direction, armoured groups play an important role in supporting the infantry. This is difficult and extremely risky work because the crews usually fire at the enemy at close range.”

The images were also relayed by the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, along with a statement saying: “Spectacular video of BMP-2 operation of various units of the 93rd Kholodny Yar Brigade.”
