Ukrainian Air Recon Detects Russian Giatsint Field Gun Before Ukrainian Artillery Destroys It

These images show Ukrainian artillery destroying a camouflaged Russian Giatsint field gun after it was spotted by air recon.

The footage shows the Ukrainian forces manoeuvring into position before setting up their own artillery piece and opening fire with it on the Russian target.

Drone footage then shows the Russian target being hit and destroyed.

The images were obtained from the 406th Separate Artillery Brigade named after Corporal General Oleksiy Almazov of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Thursday, 18th May, along with a statement saying: “Minus an enemy cannon in the south direction.

“In the south direction, air recon found a camouflaged Russian cannon. Our gunners did not miss their chance and after a successful ‘hunt’, they destroyed the enemy ‘Giatsint’ cannon.”

The images and statement were also relayed by the Office of Strategic Communications (StratCom) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
