TV CONTROL: Couple Build Two Living Rooms So They Don’t Have To Share The TV Remote

Love is doing everything together apart from one thing – and that is sharing the TV remote control according to this couple who split their front room into two so they could both choose the programs at the same time.

Eliza Belen Valtierra, 31, told Newsflash in an interview that she has been living with her husband, Raymond, for about two years at their home in El Paso, in the US state of Texas.

Eliza said that although they enjoy watching different shows on their separate televisions and doing individual hobbies, like jujitsu for her, and softball for him, Eliza said they do everything else together.

She said: “We both literally work together, eat breakfast, lunch and dinner and spend most of our time together, so our activities together are basically day-to-day life and going out on dates.

“We eat at the dining table at the centre of the video. We only have one kitchen.”

In the footage obtained by Newsflash, Eliza shows off their unique interior design – having split the large living area into two smaller rooms – each equipped with a big TV, a couch, and even a fireplace.

Eliza said: “People have either reacted very positively that they love the idea or have given their version of ideas along with duets and those are great!

“Even saying they want to do the same in the future.”

On the other hand, Eliza said that people don’t always understand their arrangement, and often criticize her: ” Others say I’m killing my marriage, why even sleep in the same bed with my husband, do I even spend time with him?”

“They can’t wait for my divorce or for him to cheat,” she added.

But Eliza seemingly does not let other people’s opinions get to her.

She said: “Those negative comments, I just chalk up to people not understanding healthy boundaries, not realizing a marriage is two individual people and understanding you can love deeply even with space.

“Also you can just walk to the other living room and still hang out with your other half.”
