A Turkish taxi driver has been arrested for ramming his estranged wife against a wall with his vehicle in front of their four children before she died in the ambulance taking her to hospital.
The suspect, named as Ibrahim Piskin, and the victim, Selime Piskin, had filed for divorce on 11th November for unknown reasons.
According to the news site Haberler, on the day of the incident, Piskin was driving his taxi on Merkez Street in the district of Korgan in the northern Turkish province of Ordu when he saw his estranged wife walking along the road with their four children.

Piskin allegedly drove his taxi into the victim and rammed her against a wall before getting out of the vehicle to kick her in front of their screaming children.
Haberler said local residents caught the suspect as he tried to flee the scene and proceeded to beat him. The police arrived on the scene and rescued Piskin from the angry mob before placing him under arrest.
Paramedics treated the seriously injured woman at the scene before taking her to Korgan State Hospital by ambulance.

However, she died in the ambulance on the way to hospital despite the best efforts of attending paramedics.
The police investigation is ongoing.
