TREESY DOES IT: Loose Moose Chases Man Up Tree

A Canadian man was left stuck up a tree after being chased by an aggressive moose.

The unfortunate victim, David Meredith, said he had been walking through the snow in Anders on the Lake in Red Deer, Alberta, when he was chased by the angry moose.

He said he was taking a regular evening stroll and that smaller animals like rabbits, deer, or ducks were not unusual.

But he admitted that large animals were now becoming more common since the lockdown.

David said that after the moose charged at him, he had “scream[ed] like a little girl” and run to the tree in order to escape to relative safety.

He added that once he felt he was on a safe branch, he managed to shoot a video.

The clip clearly shows the angry moose waiting below the tree and bashing its antlers against branches.

David added: “He was grunting and had every intention to trample me by the looks of things.”

In the end, he was stuck up the tree in the cold for around 15 minutes before the moose finally moved on and he could climb down.

He then walked home still keeping a wary eye out in case it returned.

David added that when he reviewed the camera footage, it didn’t seem that bad, but at the time it was pretty intimidating.

He said the images did not really do justice to exactly how terrifying it was.
