This footage shows the moment a tourist discovers a young girl’s lifeless body floating out from underneath the giant inflatable raft he is pushing his own children in at a water park.

The girl, who was said to be around 10 years old, had been visiting the water park with her family on 26th August.

Footage from the crowded tourist attraction in Fushun county, which is in Zigong City in China’s south-western Sichuan Province, shows the child’s lifeless body appearing from underneath the large inflatable raft carrying two children.

A male swimmer, believed to be the father of the children in the raft, pushes the raft along in the waist-high pool when the girl’s body appears right next to him.

The parent looks at the girl, who is herself wearing a swim ring, but continues to push his children along as the victim floats lifelessly on the pool’s surface.

According to reports, an ambulance was eventually called to the scene, but the girl was declared dead by arriving paramedics.

Footage shows rescuers attempting chest compressions while witnesses watch, but reports said she could not be revived.

County police are investigating the girl’s drowning, but it was still unclear at the time of writing whether the accident had anything to do with her being stuck underneath the inflatable raft.
