This is the touching moment an 83-year-old grandmother goes paragliding while wearing a Pikachu hat and despite landing with a big smile on her face she said she did not have much fun.

The paragliding outing took place in the city of Huai’an, which is in the province of Jiangsu, which is located in eastern-central China on the coast.

Local media reports say the elderly woman’s grandson, named only as Mr Hu, had wanted to organise a special outing for his grandmother, who has not been named, because she had never been on an aeroplane before and wanted to know what it was like to fly.

The footage shows the elderly woman taking the front seat in a two-seater paraglider while wearing a Pikachu-themed hat to keep her head warm.

A paragliding professional, unnamed, then takes the seat behind her and they take off into the skies.

The footage then shows the pair flying around high above the ground and apparently having the time of their lives.

The paraglider then lands seemingly effortlessly in a grassy field as the grandmother grins from ear to ear.

According to local media, when asked if she enjoyed herself after the footage ended, she replied that she did not have much fun.

The elderly woman’s grandson added that the whole family was “happy” as a result of the expedition and that his grandmother was also “happy”.
