The baby in this pram has incredibly survived despite being sent flying at a zebra crossing following a collision with a drunk driver.
The startling scene was recorded on a dashboard camera on Energetikov Avenue in the city of Enerhodar in the Zaporizhia Oblast region, in south-eastern Ukraine.
In the video, the driver of the car where the scene is being recorded from slows down as a woman with a pram walks across the zebra crossing.
Another car then comes speeding into view in the left lane and does not slow down for the woman, crashing into her pram at high speed.
The pram is sent flying through the air as the driver eventually comes to a halt and sprints to the tot.
According to the General Inspectorate of the National Police in Zaporizhia Oblast, the baby which was in the pram, born in 2019, was lucky to survive and was hospitalised soon after the accident. There are no updates on the baby’s condition.
The unnamed mother, born in 1985, was reported uninjured in the incident.
The unnamed driver, 49, who crashed into the pram was detained by police who later said that he had 1.85 ppm of alcohol in his blood (Russian laws allow a maximum 0.2 ppm).
A criminal case into the accident was launched but it is unclear if the driver has been charged yet.
