In the video, three men can be seen holding onto the umbrella which is mounted on a wheeled platform.

One of them has his feet on the platform but the winds are so powerful he is lifted into the air along with the umbrella as the other men stand away.

Local media report the man, named in reports as Sadik Kocadalli was blown around five metres with the umbrella before he let go and crashed back to earth.

He suffered light injuries in the incident and told local media: “A tornado came along that day. We were working there. We wanted to close the umbrella. I stepped on it but the tornado blew me away for about four or five metres in the air.

“I realised the umbrella was going up so I threw myself down. The umbrella then stopped as it hit an electric pole.”
