This is the man wanted for allegedly murdering two of his ex-girlfriend’s boyfriends and four of her relatives and friends before killing her in a two-year killing spree fuelled by jealousy.

Giovanni N., from the Gustavo A. Madero municipality in the Mexican capital Mexico City is wanted on suspicion of carrying out a wave of murders since 2017 after his ex-girlfriend Karen Daniela, 25, broke up with him.

The suspect allegedly first targeted the man his ex-girlfriend left him for and later became the father of her daughter – Rodolfo Martinez, with police suspecting him of following the target for days and seeing that he always left home in a white car used as a taxi.

However, the day the car was shot at in early 2018, the suspected target’s father, Jose Rodolfo Martinez Mendoza, 62, was actually driving and he was killed by a gunshot wound to the head.

Four months later on 14th May, the suspect allegedly managed to kill his first target when Rodolfo Martinez was murdered along with two of his friends as they were repairing a car, all three were shot to death.

Local media report the suspect allegedly wrote to his ex-girlfriend after the murder on social media, saying: “That is for not staying by side and not wanting to have a child by my side but with another person you dared to do it.”

Daniela’s cousin Osvaldo Rivera was murdered in October 2018 and police have not ruled out the suspect’s involvement in the crime, and her boyfriend Ricardo Lopez Salas, who had been shot at before, was shot dead on 22nd March 2019 becoming the second of her lovers to be murdered.

And on 3rd September 2019 Daniela herself was shot to death as she travelled on a motorbike taking her daughter to school in the La Pastora colony of the Mexican capital.

Local media report the suspect and Daniela had a relationship 10 years ago when Daniela then broke up with the suspect and began a relationship with Rodolfo Martinez, who she had a daughter with who is now eight years old.

Reports state that police investigations point towards Giovanni N.’s involvement in all the crimes, with him being the main suspect in most of the murders, but the authorities have not yet managed to arrest him. The search for him is ongoing.
