This footage of a thug viciously beating up his ex-girlfriend was reportedly posted on social media by the bragging bully himself with the proud message: “This was me.”

The man, named as Leonard Greaca, was caught on CCTV security cameras delivering a brutal beating to Petronela Ibranyi at the laundry they run together in the village of Domnesti, in Southern Romania’s Ilfov County.

The sickening footage reportedly shows Greaca hitting the woman with a back-handed blow before slamming her into a washing machine, sending her sprawling on the floor.

The thug is then seen repeatedly punching and kicking the poor woman before finally deciding she has had enough and marching off.

But, far from being ashamed at the cowardly attack, Greaca allegedly posted the footage himself on Facebook with his short message.

However, it could prove his undoing as local police have now launched an investigation. Ms Ibranyi has also taken out a restraining order against him.

She said the attack happened after they argued about what time he was supposed to take her to the airport.

Ms Ibranyi said: “I was screaming at him to stop hitting me, because I was bleeding. After he stopped beating me, he left with his hands in his pockets, like nothing had happened.

“I went to the hospital and I had six stitches in my head. He later called me and threatened that if he went to jail, it wouldn’t just be for a beating. It was a clear threat that he would kill me.”

A police spokesman confirmed a complaint had been received about the assault and that an investigation had been launched into the incident.
