This is the moment an Air Force parachutist crashes into a building’s roof with a thud while rehearsing for an air show before dying in hospital shortly afterwards.
Reports state that 36-year-old Augusto Vallejos Lopez crashed into the building at the Fongal Cajamarca fairground in the north-western Peruvian department of Cajamarca.
Peruvian paratroopers were reportedly rehearsing for an air show featuring supersonic aircraft, helicopters and aerial demonstrations which was due to take place the following day, according to local media.

Following the incident, Vallejos Lopez was rushed to hospital where doctors battled to save his life but he could not be saved.
In the footage, the paratrooper is seen crashing onto the building roof with a sickening thud as other descending Air Force parachutists look on.
Reports said that a number of colleagues saw Vallejos Lopez’s accident from the air while coming into land.

The victim’s body has been taken to a morgue in the western Peruvian capital Lima.
Meanwhile, the Peruvian Air Force sent their condolences to Vallejos Lopez’s family and said that he was a “master parachutist and qualified instructor”.
They also confirmed that they are investigating his death.
