Thieves Sent Flying As Cop Car Pulls Out To Block Them

This is the moment a trio of alleged thieves on a motorbike are sent flying when they crash head-on into a beat-up patrol car that pulls out in front of them during a chase.

The incident took place on Tuesday in the locality of Jose Leon Suarez, in the partido of San Martin, in Buenos Aires, the Argentine capital and was recorded by a CCTV camera.

Local media report three thugs stole a red Yamaha Fz bike from a 31-year-old man, identified as Florentin Cabana Evaristo of Paraguayan nationality.

The victim reported the case to the emergency services and the Centre of Municipal Monitoring started a search through the CCTV cameras in the area in order to locate the suspects.

The three suspects escaped on board of the motorbike and the police officers in charge of the operation to arrest them tried to pen them in to stop them escaping.

In the video, the thugs on the motorbike can be seen crashing into the front of a police pickup truck and the trio are sent flying.

One of the suspects, named in reports as Alejandro Reynoso Monte, reportedly died immediately while Francisco Nunez, 25, and Sebastian Acosta, 26, the other two suspects, were arrested and taken to the Eva Peron hospital where they are being treated for their injuries.

According to sources in the investigation reported by local media, Acosta has a criminal record for drug-related crimes and Nunez for attempted vehicle theft.

The investigation is ongoing.
