This is the moment a topless thief calmly creeps into a house as the owner is sleeping on the couch and takes several items as she dozes.

The bizarre scenes were recorded by a CCTV camera inside a home in Malaysia although its exact location is unclear.

In the video, a woman can be seen sleeping on her couch when a man who appears to have removed his top to use it as a cover for his face sneaks into the home.

He can be seen grabbing her handbag and walking away with it. He then drops the bag by the front door and walks back into the living room where he appears to watch the woman sleeping.

He then takes another handbag from the couch the woman is dozing on and walks it back to the front door before grabbing another item, then looking around and finally walking into another room.

Local media report it is unclear if the thief managed to make good his escape. It is unclear if the woman was injured in the incident or the value of the items seemingly stolen.

The video was posted to the ‘We Are Malaysians’ social media page where it has received over 80,000 views and the story was also covered in local media.
