This bizarre jumper has been dubbed the “virgin killer” because it is supposedly so sexy it will make anybody wearing it mad with desire to have sex.

It is a variation on the original revealing jumper that came out at the same time three years ago that went viral online, sparking anime characters and social media influencers alike to be seen online wearing the garment.

But now a modern upgrade of the jumper with the same grey knit wool has been launched to similar online success.

Whereas the previous version had plenty of cover at the front but left little to the imagination at the back, the new version has a plentiful supply of openings all over.

It is being sold officially as the Slit Ribbon Knit Sweater created by designer ‘amami_omt’ for 3,980 JPY (27 GBP).

But the photos on the window dressing dummy have proved less popular than those of Japanese Twitter user ‘FelizNyan’ who was seen modelling the sweater, with the images being widely shared.

Online commentators include one who wrote: “this is more than my virgin heart can candle” and another who added “and I was killed”.

Some question whether it could still be classified as clothing as there was so little cloth involved, and another pointed out: “It’s only a sweater in the philosophical sense.”
