THANKS A LATTE: Man Saves Puss From 50ft Fall While Having A Cuppa

This is the moment a man expertly catches a cat called Latte as it falls out of a third-floor window while he is having a cuppa.

Footage of the amazing rescue shows the man standing on the pavement and looking up at the cat, apparently named after its coffee-coloured coat.

After a few seconds, Latte lands in his open arms as he suddenly steps forwards and catches the airborne feline.

He can then be seen cuddling the cat and reassuring it as passers-by look on in wonder.

The incident took place in the Gungoren district of Turkey’s largest city Istanbul on 17th November, at around 1:30 PM.

The shopkeeper, named as Ozgur Anli, was enjoying his tea when Latte, who was on the window sill of his sister’s home, lost its footing and began to slip and fall.

Quick-thinking Ozgur was then caught on camera heroically catching the terrified cat as it plummeted towards the hard concrete pavement.

Ozgur told local media: “While I was drinking tea with friends here, I saw that the cat was wandering around the window. At that moment, I felt that it might fall a little.

“I came and stood under the window, just in case, and I thought about it. It happened to me with a reflex at that moment. It’s fine now. It is healthy.

“I was happy to have saved it. I thought for a moment that if I had not been able to catch it, I would have had a guilty conscience.
