Texas Man Punched In The Face So Hard Doctors Had To Remove His Eye

A Texas man was punched in the face so hard that doctors had to remove his right eye after he was attacked in a grocery store by thieves after his money.

Michael Weathersby, from the city of Houston, in the US state of Texas, was assaulted by two men after he went into a grocery store following a trip to a bank to withdraw some money.

The two suspects are currently wanted by the police for assaulting him and punching him so hard that doctors had to remove his right eye. They are also said to have gone through his pockets and stolen money from him during the incident.

The first suspect is said to be between 33 and 34 years old, “5’10”, 230 pounds, wore a goatee, red hoodie, and blue jeans”, while the second suspect is said to be between 33 and 34 years old and “6′, low top fade haircut, white muscle shirt, and white shorts”.

Weathersby was attacked inside the Fiesta Grocery Store in the Fondren neighbourhood of Houston at about 5pm on Wednesday 12th January.

He was reportedly visiting the store after paying a visit to a nearby bank. The suspects are said to have got away with some money.

The victim said: “When I fell on the ground, I felt someone going through my pockets.”

His lawyer, Jeff Musslewhite, is now investigating the shop, saying that it could be held liable, saying: “They had an obligation to provide security for their customers.”

The police had not made any arrests at the time of writing.

The investigation is ongoing.
